KELLYVILLE, Okla. (August 3, 2024) - Defending champion Johnny Kent put himself in contention for another points title with his victory in the Ortco, inc. United Sprint League presented by Same Day Auto Repair main event Saturday at Creek County Speedway.
Starting from the pole, Kent put his number 55 out front and went the distance in the 30-lapper around the Creek County quarter-mile. The victory moved Kent from fifth to second in the points race just 28 points behind leader Tim Kent.
The race for second ended with Ty Hulsey just ahead of third place Noah Harris. Brett Wilson
held on to fourth and Tim Kent charged from 11th to fifth.
Danny Smith led a field on last chance qualifiers into the main event with his victory in the DFR Discount Tire B main. Craig Carroll, Cody Jarvis, Grady Mercer, Tanner Conn, Greg York, Spencer Mason and Tyler LaPointe finished 2nd thru 8th and making the cut into the A main. Out of the eight Carroll had the most success in the A main charging from 14th to finish 8th.
