On Friday afternoon, Ryan Timms traveled to Creek County Speedway (Sapulpa, Okla.) to take part in a doubleheader weekend with the Lucas Oil ASCS Sooner Region. After sitting out a rain delay, Timms followed up a third-place finish in his heat with a sixth-to-third run in the 25-lap feature. He trailed Brandon Anderson and Dylan Westbrook to the checkers.
In a field of 25 ASCS Sprints on Saturday at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kan.), Ryan secured his spot into the main event with an eight-lap heat race victory. Battling with fellow Oklahoma pilot Blake Hahn, Timms was unable to contain Hahn’s charge in the 25-lap affair as he placed second. Dylan Westbrook, Jeremy Campbell, and Sean McClelland completed the Top-5 finishers.
