TULSA, Okla. (June 13, 2016) Bringing his “Circular Insanity Tour” back to the Sooner State, three time Indy 500 starter, and 2014 Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Champion, Bryan Clauson will be in action at the Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. on Thursday, June 16 with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series National Tour.

The fourth stop on the 2016 ASCS Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek, the visit to Creek County Speedway is the last of three consecutive nights with the American Sprint Car Series for Bryan Clauson; which includes Tuesday, June 14 at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas and Wednesday, June 15 at the Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.
Asked about his plans to race Creek County Speedway, Clauson replied, “I’m looking forward to it. Creek’s a tight place. It’s a place you have to attack, but you have to be careful how you do that. There’s not a lot of extra room so it’s a place that you have to patient, but patiently aggressive. Anything can happen."
The second time in 2016 that Clauson is set to turn laps at Creek County Speedway, the Indiana native traded slide-jobs with the ASCS Red River Region on April 8 with a runner-up results to Washington’s Seth Bergman.
Competing in everything from Chili Bowl Midgets to Indy Cars this year, Clauson has become a master of being able to switch driving styles from car-to-car.
“I’ve been jumping back and forth enough now that you just kind of reset your mind. The
cars drive so differently that it’s pretty easy not to forget what you’re in. The winged cars lays one way going down the straightaway, where the non-wing cars lay another so it’s pretty easy to remember what you’re in and what you need to do."
The last time Clauson sat behind the wheel of a Winged Sprint Car was May 18, 2016 at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind.
With 21 win on the season going into this week’s lineup of racing in Midget, Non-Wing Sprint Car, and Winged Sprint Car, Clauson has already matched his win total from 2015 in his quest for 200 nights of racing in 2016. Just off the USAC “Eastern Storm”, in which Bryan topped the Non-Wing field three times this past week, the team is trucking west from Pennsylvania to be a part of the ASCS Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek.
Thursday, June 16 at the Creek County Speedway will get underway at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Admission is $20 for Adults. Children 11-14 are $10 and kids age 10 and under get into the Grandstands for free. All seating is General Admission. Pit Passes are $35.
