TULSA, Okla. - (January 31st, 2016) - With the release of Creek County Speedway's 2017 schedule, officials have been working to finalize the details and are just about ready to go green on it's 32nd consecutive year of competition.
Headlining the 2017 season will be Creek County Speedway's Fast Five Weekly Racing Series, starring the Champ Sprints, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, Dwarf Cars and Modifieds.
The Fast Five Weekly Racing Series is set to get fired up on March 25th for it's opening night's festivities, and will be coming to a close on September 2nd. Pre-opening practice days are scheduled for March 3rd and March 16th.
The Champ Sprints will have a few opportunities in the 2017 to take their wings off for some non-wing racing action. Their first opportunity is scheduled to happen on March 31st for the Ironman Precursor Race. Joining them will be the Sooner Late Model Series. This will be the first time that Creek County Speedway will see a Late Model in competition atop the fast 1/4 mile since 2009.
The Ironman Precursor Race is just a small taste of what is to come for the 3rd Annual running of the Ironman 50 Challenge. The Ironman 50 Challenge has traditionally been a one night show, however, this year, it will be moved to a 2-day show, starting on September 8th, and concluding on September 9th. More details to this event will be released as they become available.
The Fifth Annual Randy Wheeler Memorial will be on Friday, May 26, 2017 featuring the Fast Five Weekly Series.
Steve Gran will continue to over see operations at Creek County Speedway for his 5th consecutive season as General Manager.
2017 marks the 32nd consecutive season of competition for Creek County Speedway, which opened it's doors in 1985.
