Inside Line Promotions – DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (March 6, 2017) – Race fans in Oklahoma can catch their first glimpse of the future stars of dirt track racing this weekend when the Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass invades Creek County Speedway for the inaugural Creek County Clash.
All three primary Driven Midwest NOW600 National Micro Series classes – Stock Non-Wing, Winged ‘A’ Class and Restricted ‘A’ Class – will be in action each night during the first annual spectacle that runs Thursday through Saturday. All three nights will be co-sanctioned with the Driven Midwest NOW600 Sooner Region.
Oklahoma native Frank Flud enters this weekend leading both the Stock Non-Wing and Winged ‘A’ Class championship standings thanks to a pair of wins in both classes during the season-opening doubleheader last month.
Colton Corbin ranks second in the Stock Non-Wing standings – only 14 points behind Flud – with Trevor McIntire and Marcus Thomas tied for third at 27 points out of the lead.
Thomas is only six points behind Flud in the Winged ‘A’ Class championship standings with Kyle Jones third at 13 points out.
Ryder Laplante has won the last two Restricted ‘A’ Class main events to build a three-point advantage over Daison Pursley in the championship standings. Dylan Pendergrass is third and only six points behind Laplante.
Steven Shebester, who captured the most recent Stock Non-Wing triumph, was victorious during a Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National event last year along with Jace McIntosh in the Restricted ‘A’ Class.
This weekend’s event will feature two complete preliminary nights on Thursday and Friday. The top six drivers in combined event points in each of the three primary classes are locked into Saturday’s main event heads up. For the complete event format, visit http://www.now600series.com/news/?i=44233.
Additionally, a $150 bonus has been donated by WWM to the furthest traveling Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series race team this weekend.
The NOW600 sportsman and dwarf classes will also be competing each night.
The gates open at 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday with the drivers meeting at 6:15 p.m., hot laps at 7:15 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Everything starts one hour earlier on Saturday.
Tickets are $10 for adults each night and free for children ages 10 and younger. Pit passes are $30 each night.
