McSperitt Up To Eight Wins At Creek County Speedway As Walker, Tyre, Longacre, and York Return To Victory Lane

Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (July 14, 2018) Just missed by the rain on Saturday night, Creek County Speedway wrapped up the 13th round of Fast Five Weekly competition with a trio of drivers grabbing their first wins of the year, while two added to their season’s win count.

Upping his win total to eight, Austin McSperitt was the top-dog with the Factory Stocks. Rolling from 10th, McSperitt had Tommy Romine following with point’s leader, Jimmy Owen, posting his 10th podium finish of the season. Jeff Weller and Calvin Lewis made up the top-five.

The fourth victory of the year for Paul York in Dwarf competition, the driver of the No. 52 was undefeated in both Heat and A-Feature competition on Saturday night. Mike Howard, Chandler Foltz, Jason Miles, and Jeff Robertson made up the field.

The first of three first time winners on the 2018 season, Mickey Walker worked back into Victory Lane for the first time since 2014. Running a limited schedule at Creek County Speedway, Walker came from seventh for the win. Jimmy Taylor followed with Noah Harris racing to third from tenth. Zach Alley picked up five spots to fourth with Bailey Hughes in fifth.

Gridding the field seventh with the Modifieds, Joshua Tyre was the second driver to pick up his first win of the season. Casey Beuchler slipped one spot to second with Modified point’s leader, Chad Davis, running from 11th to third. Collin Wiseley and Ho Dean rounded out the top-five.

Last but not least, the final first-time winner on the season was Michael Longacre. Among seven top-five finishes for the Jennings, Okla. driver, the path to Saturday’s victory began from the fifth starting spot. Following from fourth, Justin Melton crossed second with Adrien Hickman, Kevin McSperitt, and Kenny Grumadas in the top-five.

Creek County Speedway’s Fast Five Weekly Series of Champ Sprints, Modifieds, Dwarf Cars, Factory Stocks, and Mini Stocks returns for Round 14 on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Gates open at 5:00 P.M with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. Races get underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT).

Admission prices are $10 for adults. Youth 11-14 get in for $6 and kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Pits are $30 (under 10 years of age is $15).
