Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (April 20, 2019) The second round of weekly racing action on the 2019 season at Creek County Speedway, the night’s list of winners numbers four with the night’s Champ Sprint event going to Alex DeCamp. Modifieds were topped by Chad Davis with Factory Stock victory going to Shawn Brownlee. Mini Stocks were topped by Jimmy Masterson.
For DeCamp, the win with the Champ Sprints was no easy affair as the Locust Grove, Okla. racer charged through the field from the 14th starting spot. Not to be outdone, the top four positions were all earned by drivers starting outside the top ten with Brett Wilson making up an impressive 16 positions to finish second. Danny Smith from 11th took the final podium step with Brandon Anderson coming from 15th to fourth. Donovan Wise, who started on the pole, slipped back to a fifth-place finish.
In the Modifieds, Chad Davis remains perfect on the season with his second victory coming after having to start 13th on the field. Rolling in from Fair Grove, Mo., Mickey Burrell made up 11 positions for second with Chris Miles, Justin Cartwright, and Ho Dean making up the top five.
With the pole position in hand, the race at the top of the chargers went unchanged with Shawn Brownlee winning. Chris Wilhite, Jr. in second. Scott Wilson, Jimmy Owen, and Cody Cody McClain mad the top five,
Jimmy Masterson made the trip to Victory Lane with the Mini-Stocks with Adrien Hickman in second. Coming to the front from ninth, Kevin McSperritt was third with Wesley Knebel and Justin Melton in fifth.
Next at Creek County Speedway is the USAC Wingless Sprints of Oklahoma on Friday, April 26 along with POWRi West Midgets. Weekly racing action returns Saturday, April 27 with Champ Sprints, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Oklahoma 600cc Modifieds on the schedule.
Fast Five Weekly Series admission is $10 for adults. Youth 11-14 will be admitted for $6 and kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Pits Passes are $30 (under 10 years of age is $15). Special Event prices will be posted to the Creek County Speedway website, as well as Social Media.
Spring and Fall events will open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. and Racing at 7:30 P.M. During the Summer, Hot Laps will move to 7:30 P.M. with Racing at 8:00 P.M. (CT)
