By John Rittenoure, OCRS PR (Kellyville, OK) -- Lapped traffic proved to be a challenge for Kyle Clark and Andrew Deal in Saturday's Ameri-Flex / OCRS Sprint Car feature at Creek County Speedway. Clark chased leader Deal for the last half of the race before finally getting around him at the white flag to pick up his first OCRS victory of the season.

Clark was able take advantage of lapped traffic to pass Deal on lap 29 and led the final lap to victory.
"We were dealing with lapped cars and Andrew missed his line a little bit and kind of bobbled in (turns) 1-2," Clark said of his move to the lead.
"That gave me a run on the top and I was able to slide him. It hurt me earlier when I first passed Andrew for the lead but it helped me at the end of it."
If Deal had it to do all over again, he would have worked lapped traffic differently.
"I got into those lapped cars and just picked the wrong way," Deal said. "I think we made it a little more difficult then it needed to be."
"We were really good, but there at the end, we got a little tight."
There were five lead changes during the race that started with pole sitter Casey Wills taking the early lead over Deal and Clark who worked his way to third from a sixth starting position. On lap 7, Deal drove around Wills for the lead and Clark followed into second. Clark briefly got the lead from Deal on lap 13 only to give it back a lap later. A few laps later, Clark tried Deal again in turn one but had to back off to avoid contact.
"I was not expecting him to go to the bottom," Clark said of his attempt at the lead. "It looked like he was going to go to the middle or top so I was going to slide him but when he didn't, I checked up and almost took us both out."
Racing for the second straight night at the Emmett Hahn owned oval helped Clark who only finished ninth on Friday.
"We learned a lot last night," Clark said. "We were to loose last night so we guessed for it."
Wills ended up with third after leading early, Brett Wilson came from eighth to finish fourth and rookie Kinzer Edwards drove from 16th to finish fifth.
Robert Sellers earned the York Plumbing Hard Charger award coming from 19th to finish seventh behind sixth place finisher and 2017 champion Zach Chappell.
Sheldon Barksdale was a recipient of $250 from York Plumbing from a cash draw program that the company sponsored over the weekend. The AMERI-FLEX / OCRS sprint car series wishes to thank Bobby and Vickie York for their gracious support of the series.
