Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (June 1, 2019) Kicking off the month of June with the season’s fifth round of Fast Five Weekly competition in the books, a field of 73 competitors took to the Creek County Speedway on Saturday night with Jase Randolph, Brandon Dean, Shawn Brownlee, Leroy Burger, and Larry Pence parking in Victory Lane.

Just off his first OCRS triumph, Bixby’s Jase Randolph set out to prove it was more than just the weather that helped him win. Coming from seventh to top the 20-car field, Randolph was followed to the line by pole sitter, Kyle Clark, with Noah Harris rolling up to the final podium step from 10th. Tim Kent from 12th made the run to fourth with Joshua Tyre making the most impressive charge through the field; coming from 20th to complete the top five.

The second time in 2019 that Brandon Dean has topped action at the Oklahoma quarter-mile, the Sapulpa, Okla. shoe worked to the top of the field from fifth with Chad Davis coming from eighth to second. Following the No. 152 through the field, Joe Wright crossed third. James Esmond in fourth had Collin Wisely one spot behind in fifth.

Another driver making his second trip to Victory Lane, Shawn Brownlee topped the Factory Stocks after coming from the fifth starting spot. Scott Wilson from sixth made his way to second with Andrew Kesler making it from 10th to third. Dustin Ward and Doug Jones made up the top five.

Earning his first win of the season, Leroy Burger was the winner in Mini Stock action. Jimmy Masterson in second had to climb the running order from ninth with Kenny Grumadas, Adrien Hickman, and Michael Denton to make up the top five finishers.

Hard-charging through the field with the Dwarf Cars, Larry Pense made the run from ninth to first for his second triumph of the season. Second went to Rob McQuary with Rex Johnson, Paul York, and Jason Miles in tow.

The next event at Creek County Speedway is the return of the United States Modified Touring Series on Sunday, June 2.
