Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (June 8, 2019) Racing four divisions on Saturday night, Creek County Speedway saw familiar faces in Victory Lane as well as a new one as Avery Goodman added to the family legacy with this first win in Champ Sprint competition. Modified competition went to Ho Dean with Dustin Gordon winning Factory Stocks and Dee Denton getting the job done with the Mini Stocks.
Advancing through the field from the eighth starting spot, Goodman had pole sitter Johnny Ken in tow at the finish with Jimmy Taylor, Bailey Hughes, and ninth starting, Danny Smith, to make up the top five. For Ho Dean, the march to the front began from the right of the second row. Moving up from ninth, Chad Davis made it to second with Brandon Dean in third. Dustin Leatherman and James Esmond made up the top five.
Making the biggest climb of the night to grab the top spot, Dustin Gordon rallied from 10th with the Factory Stocks with Shawn Brownlee following from ninth to second. Chris Wilson was third with Jimmy Owen fourth, and Bill Newton fifth.
Starting on the front row and taking full advantage of it, Dee Denton was the victor with the Mini Stocks. Philip Cook was second with Kenny Grumadas, Justin Melton, and Blake Green rounding out the top five.
The next event at Creek County Speedway is Sooner600 Week and Mini Stock Mania with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Tel-Star Technologies on Thursday, June 13. Admission is $10 for adults. Youth 11-14 will be admitted for $5 and kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Pits Passes are $30 per class.
Weekly racing action returns Saturday, June 15 with Champ Sprints, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Dwarf Cars on the schedule.
Fast Five Weekly Series admission is $10 for adults. Youth 11-14 will be admitted for $6 and kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Pits Passes are $30 (under 10 years of age is $15). Special Event prices will be posted to the Creek County Speedway website, as well as Social Media.
Saturday events open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. and Racing at 7:30 P.M. (CT). Special Event times will be posted as they arrive on the schedule.
