Inside Line Promotions – SAPULPA, Okla. (Aug. 2, 2019) – Frank Flud and Mason Daugherty both came out on top of the Hi Plains Building Division Small-Town Showdown on Friday night at Creek County Speedway, which hosted the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Tel-Star Technologies event.
Flud won the A Main in both the Stock Non-Wing and Winged ‘A’ Class on the same night for the 10th time this season, running his win total to 11 Stock Non-Wing and 15 Winged ‘A’ Class triumphs this year.
Flud bested polesitter Chase Randall for the Stock Non-Wing triumph on Friday with Cole Roberts third, Chase Hyland fourth and Jayson Campbell fifth.
Joey Starnes was the heat race winner.
Flud also edged Randall to claim the Winged ‘A’ Class feature. Rees Moran placed third, Roberts ended fourth and Hyland was fifth.
Hyland and Moran each won a heat race.
Daugherty swept the weekend in the Restricted ‘A’ Class division by capturing Friday’s feature. Brenham Crouch finished second with Joshua Gentry, Ryder Laplante and Conner Long rounding out the top five, respectively.
Laplante scored the heat race victory.
The NOW600 Series resumes action on Aug. 23 at Creek County Speedway.
