Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (August 23, 2019) Nearly three inches of rain overnight with showers lingering throughout the morning have moved Creek County Speedway officials to call off tonight’s races with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products.
“Right now, we can’t even get into the Pits and with rain still coming through off and on, we don’t have any way of getting the Pits ready, much less the track before we are supposed to race,” stated Creek County Speedway Promoter, Steve Hahn.
Races for the Oklahoma quarter-mile continue Saturday, August 24 with their Fast Five Weekly Series.
Admission at $10 for adults. Youth 11-14 will be admitted for $6 and kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Pits Passes are $30 (under 10 years of age is $15). Special Event prices will be posted to the Creek County Speedway website, as well as Social Media.
Saturday events open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. and Racing at 7:30 P.M. (CT). Special Event times will be posted as they arrive on the schedule.
