Inside Line Promotions – SAPULPA, Okla. (April 13, 2021) – Elizabeth Phillips produced her first career sprint car heat race win as well as a career-best feature result last Saturday at Creek County Speedway.
“We originally planned on going to Lawton Speedway, but with all the rain we weren’t sure how much they got and it didn’t rain very much or at all at Creek County so we decided to run there,” she said. “I had Danny Smith, Kyle Clark, most of the top 305 and two-barrel guys in my heat race. I got a really good start and I led all the laps to come home with my first heat race win. That was super exciting and a big confidence booster with that being my fourth race.”
Phillips lined up on the inside of the second row for the main event and used the feature as an opportunity to continue to learn behind the wheel of a sprint car. Phillips’ 12th-place result was the best of her short sprint car career.
“We improved our finish from the last time we were there and it wasn’t terrible for not having very many laps in a sprint car,” she said. “I’m starting to feel more comfortable with what the car will do and how far I can push it. I think that helped me win the heat race. Trusting the car was a big deal. I’m learning how far I can push it.”
Phillips will return to Winged Outlaw micro sprint competition this Friday and Saturday at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., when the dirt oval hosts the Little Rock Nationals with the POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Micro Sprints.
She enters the event with one POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Micro Sprints feature start this season.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Rustic Cuff
Rustic Cuff was created in the summer of 2011 by Jill Donovan. Jill’s lifelong obsession with cuffs and a need for a creative outlet turned into so much more. With her days filled with young children and her evenings filled with teaching Law at the University of Tulsa, Jill began teaching herself all aspects of leather making and metal design in her guest bedroom in the middle of the night. Jill’s passion for quality and unique design helped Rustic Cuff to expand from a basic leather cuff line into an entire collection including exotic skins, original designs, and various types of metals. For more information, visit http://www.RusticCuff.com.
“Rustic Cuff makes custom bracelets and necklaces, sports bracelets and more, and we’re working on a line specific to racing,” Phillips said. “Jill’s oldest daughter, Ireland, and I have been friends since we were little kids. They’ve sponsored me for the past eight years and I’m grateful to have them on our side.”
Phillips would also like to thank RibCrib, Classic Chevrolet Owasso, Tulsa Sod & Mulch, Best Graphics, Hitch It, Fieldhouse Gear, Sharp Advantage, Eaton Industrial Coatings, Simpson Race Products, Speed Shack, Car & Fleet and Marshall Chiropractic for their continued support.
