ASCS Red River Headlines Creek County Speedway Before Regional Showdown At I-30 Speedway

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (July 26, 2018) The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products will see a pair of races on this weekend’s lineup with Creek County Speedway kicking things off on Friday, July 27.

Road Tripping to Little Rock, Ark. on Saturday, July 28, the series will join with the ASCS Mid-South Region at I-30 Speedway.

The season’s fourth visit to Creek County Speedway, three previous A-Features have found just as many winners with Wayne Johnson, Sam Hafertepe, Jr., and Sammy Swindell each grabbing wins. The first matchup at I-30 Speedway in 2018, two visits to the Arkansas quarter-mile in 2017 saw Derek Hagar and Howard Moore picking up wins.

Going into this weekend’s doubleheader, Alex Sewell holds a firm 200 point lead over Lance Norick for the Red River Championship chase. Fred Mattox, Jake Greider, and Sean McClelland make up the series top-five. In the Mid-South ranks, Howard Moore has moved his advantage to 177 markers over Ernie Ainsworth with Marshall Skinner, Justin Webb, and Wally Henson giving chase.

Friday, July 27 at Creek County Speedway opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). The card will also include the USAC Wingless Sprints of Oklahoma. Admission is $20 for adults with kids 10 and under admitted free into the grandstands. Races on Friday get underway at 8:00 P.M. (CDT).

Saturday, July 28 at I-30 Speedway opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:30 P.M. (CT). Admission is $20 for adults with kids 6-12 admitted for only $1. The lineup of classes also includes IMCA Modifieds Super Stocks, Micros, and Powder Puff. I-30 Speedway is located at 12297 I-30 in Little Rock, Ark.
