Hill Excited to Carry Recent Momentum Into ASCS National Tour Speedweek

Inside Line Promotions – SIX NATIONS, Ontario, Canada (June 3, 2019) – Alex Hill is looking forward to a big week of racing after posting a season-best finish in her most recent race.

Hill will kick off a scheduled four nights of racing in a five-day stretch on Tuesday during the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour’s Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back on the track,” said Hill, who was unable to race last Saturday after rain washed out her scheduled event at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas. “We’ve been doing better lately and we’d like to keep the momentum going throughout the week.”

Speedweek will now begin on Tuesday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas.

“I’m excited to return to Devil’s Bowl,” she said. “It’s a track where I’ve raced quite a few times. I first raced there when I was 16 and we’ve usually raced there two or three times a year since then. It’s a bigger track, which is what I like and we usually have good speed there.

“But it’s been a while since we’ve raced there because of the weather. We had two races rained out there earlier this year and last year’s Winter Nationals was canceled due to the weather, too. The last time we raced there was a year ago.”

Hill is hoping that the wet weather will avoid this week’s racing schedule and that she can get in a number of laps and build on her recent speed.

“We’re all looking forward to getting a lot of racing in after all the rainouts,” she said. “I’m excited about racing four out of five nights. But it can be tough on my crew, especially if things don’t go well and if the weather is hot, like it is here in Texas now.”

Following Tuesday’s race, Speedweek will run Wednesday at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.; Thursday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.; and Saturday at Salina Speedway in Salina, Kan.
