Davis, Knebel, and Clark Continue Creek County Dominance As Green and Early Find Victory Lane

(July 6, 2019) Three familiar names and two new faces graced Victory Lane Saturday night at Creek County Speedway as Chad Davis picked up his seventh win of the season in Modified action while Wesley Knebel made it five in the Mini-Stocks, and Kyle Clark brought it to four with the Champ Sprints.

Picking up their first wins of the 2019 season, Justin Green topped Factory Stocks with Ryan Early earning top marks with the Oklahoma 600cc Modifieds.

Advancing position 73 times to date in A-Feature competition, Chad Davis’ win this past Saturday night came from the eighth starting spot. Justin Cartwright from fifth came up to second with Kyle Thompson rolling to the final podium step from 10th. Missouri’s Nick Artherthon crossed fourth with Joe Wright earning Hard Charger honors from 19th to fifth.

Padding his point’s lead, Wesley Knebel’s fifth win of the season puts his season at .500 with his win coming from the seventh starting spot. Kevin McSperitt followed from eighth to second with Adrien Hickman taking the bronze. Jimmy Masterson and Kenny Grumadas made up the top five.

Backing up his victory from one week again where he settled the Champ Sprint vs. RaceSaver question, Kyle Clark worked through the field from the right of the third row. Keith Bolton in second was trailed by Joe Wood, Jr. who had to wheel through the field from 12th. Bailey Hughes from ninth was fourth with Brandon Anderson advancing six spots to fifth.

Making his first stop on the Front Stretch in Factory Stock action, Justin Green made started the run from ninth. Shawn Brownlee came from eighth to second with current point’s leader, Jimmy Owen, making up nine spots to complete the podium. Bobby Traster and Mike Keever from 15th made the top five.

With extra money on the line, Oklahoma City’s Ryan Early made it worth the drive as the No. 99 came from eighth to win. Danny Felker from 10th made it to second with Bobby Lowry, Corey Allison, and Justin Fisk rounding out the top five.

Next at Creek County Speedway is the return of the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products on Friday, July 12 for a $2,000 to win, $300 to start Mid-Summer Showdown. Admission is $15 for adults and kids 10 and under get in free and includes Dwarf Cars and Factory Stocks. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with races going green at 7:30 P.M. (CT).

Weekly racing returns on Saturday, July 3 with the Randy Wheeler Memorial. The night’s lineup of classes includes Champ Sprints, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Oklahoma 600cc Modifieds. Admission is $10 for adults. Youth 11-14 will be admitted for $6 and kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Pits Passes are $30 (under 10 years of age is $15). Special Event prices will be posted to the Creek County Speedway website, as well as Social Media.

Saturday events open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. and Racing at 7:30 P.M. (CT). Special Event times will be posted as they arrive on the schedule.
